The U.P. State Medical Faculty will award the diploma in “ Refraction & Optometry ” to those candidates who have passed the final examination conducted by the U.P. State Medical faculty and they will be entitled to suffix “ D.R.OPT. ” with their name. The U.P. State Medical Faculty will award a diploma in “ Orthoptics & Pleoptics ” to those candidates who passed the final year examination conducted by the faculty and they will be entitled to the title to suffix “ D.ORTHOPT ” with their names.

Diploma in Optometry
The candidates seeking admission in diploma course Optometry must ensure that they have passed in every subject in Intermediate examination and they have not been granted any such grade which is equvalent to fail. The candidate who are having colour blindness or only one seeing Eye are not eligible for course.

Duration - 2 Years
Tution Fee - Rs. 54000/- Per Year or as amended time to time ( Non refundable ).
Diploma in Orthoptics

Bridge Course *
Those students who have passed diploma in Orthoptics from a recognised Institution are eligible for admission. After passing student shall get two diploma in 3 years i.e. Diploma in Optometry & Diploma in Orthoptics.

Tution Fee - Rs. 54000/- Per Year or as amended time to time ( Non refundable ).
* Bridge Course is only for pass out Students of 2 Years Orthoptics Diploma candidates. Candidate who are appearing for test to either of the two courses Sl No.1 & Sl No.2 should clearly mention their choice i.e. 1st choice & 2nd choice in application form. No change in the choice shall be entertained after the admission.
